Freelang Luiseño-English dictionary

Luiseño is a Native American language of South California. It was influenced by Spanish during the 16th century, due to the presence of Spanish missionaries in the area. The Indians were named Luiseños after the name of a nearby Spanish mission, "San Luis Rey de Francia". With only a few speakers remaining, it is a highly endangered language.
