Kinyarwanda (or simply Rwanda) is a Bantu language spoken by 7.2 million people, mostly in Rwanda, as well as in southern Uganda and in the east of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Kinyarwanda is mutually intelligible with Kirundi, an official language of Burundi.
