The Khakas language is spoken by about 60,000 people who live in Khakas in Russia. It is a Turkic language, which falls under the Uighur-Oguz family group. The language has different dialects. Khakas is a Turkic language spoken by the Khakas people, who mainly live in the southern Siberian Khakas Republic, or Khakassia, in Russia. The Khakas number 78,500, of whom 60,000 speak the Khakas language. Most of them are bilingual in Russian.
