Cantonese, or Standard Cantonese, is a variant of Cantonese (Yue) Chinese. It is commonly spoken in Hong Kong, Guangzhou and Macau, and by many overseas Chinese. There are about 71 million speakers. Please note that our Cantonese dictionary is written in roman characters.
