The Salar language spoken in China Salar is a Turkic language that is mainly spoken by the Salar people, who can be found in the provinces of Gansu and Qinghai in China. Speakers can also be found in the Xinjiang and Yining provinces. The Salar people are thought to have migrated to their present location from the west in the 14th century. Salar is a Turkic language spoken by the Salar people, who mainly live in the provinces of Qinghai and Gansu in China. The Salar number about 90,000 people, of whom about 70,000 speak the Salar language.
