The beautiful language of West Yugur It is estimated that there are 2600 people who speak the Turkic language of West Yugur in China. West Yugur is a Turkic language spoken in China (Gansu Province) by around 2,600 speakers. However, Yugur (or East Yugur) is a Mongolic language (3,000 speakers). The Yugurs are one of China's 56 officially recognized nationalities.
